L.A. and Death Valley

The Love Boat in Death Valley

L.A.

Venus Beach
After we left JTree we headed to LA for a bit of city action, as we had been living in the desert for a little while now. We were very lucky to be able to stay with some good friends of Kyle and Leslie that we met in JTree, Sunny and Mike. We parked our van out the front and slept in it over night and were able to use the apartment during the day. Their apartment is only a stones throw away from Venus Beach and the Santa Monica Pier, which was a fantastic location!
We had an amazing time staying with Sunny and Mike, which coincidentally coincided with Craig and Ruth staying there making for a very fun time in LA.

Mike and Sunny were the perfect hosts, providing us with a lifetimes worth of recommendations on what to do and see LA, Including the highlight - the food truck night on the 1st Friday of every month.  On these nights every food truck in LA converge on one street creating foodie heaven. We rode our bikes down and barely managed to ride our bikes back in a food coma state.
It was very hard to leave!
